Kolie Dee hails from Minnesota, USA. She weaves the rock, metal, and cinematic genres together to create music that leaves you craving more.
Kolie’s vocals are edgy, and hauntingly beautiful. A master of the vocal cry, with a powerful belt, her voice evokes emotion in a way that stirs the soul. Her lyrics take you on a journey, drawing you into the story, and the music.
With a belief that everyone’s battling something, her lyrics are thought-provoking and leave you rooting for the underdog. She has the ability to bring you on an epic journey that leaves you wanting to come along with her on the next quest.
THE FACE OF WAR – LATEST SINGLE
Kolie grew up being told she was a “worthless”, “good-for-nothing kid" who would “never amount to anything” by her Dad. Her Mom was a Mental Health specialist. The result? “I basically grew up to be someone who roots for the underdog, and you’ll find it in my songs.”, she says.
Seeing the historical fallout of war, she says she had to write this song. It follows a child of war who, like Kolie, became homeless, orphaned, and became determined to create change. The story is well-painted musically, and lyrically, and brings powerful visuals.
Kolie Dee, and Multi-Platinum Songwriter/Producer Martin Sutton pulled together and created an incredibly powerful message. The song will have you rocking out, and is helplessly catchy.
